Whey Protein Cost Calculator: Price Per Gram of Protein
The fairest way to compare whey protein prices is cost per 100 g of actual protein, not price per tub. Enter up to three products from the label — price, tub size, serving size and protein per serving — and the BuyTheWhey cost calculator shows servings per tub, cost per serving, protein % and price per 100 g of protein.

Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate the cost per gram of protein?
Servings per tub = tub weight (g) ÷ serving size (g). Total protein = servings × protein per serving. Cost per 100 g protein = price ÷ total protein × 100.
What protein percentage should a good whey have?
Unflavoured whey concentrate (WPC80) is about 80% protein and whey isolate about 90%. Flavoured products usually land lower, often 65–80% per scoop; a much lower figure means more sugar, fillers or flavouring per serving.
How can I check whey protein quality in India?
Check for a valid FSSAI licence number on the label, a batch-wise lab report from the brand, and a clear amino-acid profile. Unusually cheap protein per gram can be a warning sign.
